Kanepi-Werther 2017-2018

My impressions on Germany When I went to Germany I was really scared how my family will be and what do I say. Because I’m really shy I didn’t really want to talk, I always stayed in my room and try to be as quiet as possible. The first day I had jet lag and slept a lot, my family asked me the next day if I always sleep so much and I said yes. At the weekend we went to a computer museum and to a kart track. On Saturday we went to the computer museum in Paderborn and we were there almost 5 hours. There were a lot of interesting pieces of equipment. On the way to Paderborn we drove on the Autobahn and we reached speeds up to 245km/h.             The next day we went to a kart track and we drove over 2hours there. The dad drove really good but there were some crashes. I almost ran into them when they were backwards on the track. At the beginning of the long waited Christmas season begun my trip to Germany. It was going to be a relaxing and fun week in festive spirits. I had heard lot about how beautifully decorated Germany is in the winter season. My host was Melissa. We had already met last year because she was an exchange student for a month in our school. Melissa was a really kind and lovable girl, she loved to talk a lot and was a very good companion. She lived together with her mother and father. Aside from two super cute and tiny dogs Melissa also had some other interesting pets. For example she had two bearded dragons. I had never before heard anything about these kinds of animals and I was a bit frightened at first. It came out that the scary sounding bearded dragons were actually really charming little lizards. From 6th of December to 13th December I took part in the Estonia - Germany  exchange student programme. I had with me about twenty other Estonians, who wanted to go to Germany. Our journey started from our way to Tallinn. We flew from Riga to Frankfurt and from there to Paderborn. We finally arrived to Werther at noon. When we arrived to school, all of our exchange students were waiting for us next to the school. My exchange student was a girl, her name was Carina. She lived in the town of Werther with her mother and a dog. They had quite a big  and a beautiful house. I was given her room, while she slept in the next room. It was obvious that she liked horses, her room was full of pictures of horses and horse riding awards. Every day after school or some kind of excursion, depending on the day, we had to go and visit the horses. The stables with the horses were about 10 km from the house.
