Exchange 2018: Kanepi-Werther
When I drove to Estonia I didn´t know what to
expect. I just thought that it might be much colder than in Germany, but I
didn´t have an idea of the country, the culture and the people. After the
exchange I have a better idea.
On the one side it was really nice to see the
nature. We got to know the forests and the moor and it was interesting to see
it. But on the other side there are the bigger cities like Tartu and Tallin,
which we visited. Also the weather is in some points different to Germany.
While we have in Germany mostly no snow, but in Estonia is still snow in March,
but I´m kind of happy that we have in Germany mostly no snow, because I don´t
like it that much.
The people in Estonia are really nice and friendly.
If they realised that I´m not able to speak Estonian they tried to explain me
things in English. My host family was really nice and they tried that I have a
good time, which worked out. I have to say that I thought that it might be
sometimes boring but we visited many different places, so that we mostly had
something to do.
The time in Estonia was really nice, because I got
to know a country which I didn´t know before. I´m happy about the time I spent
here and it was against my expectations a really nice time.
