Once again we had an exchange student program with Werther’s school in Germany. Me and a lot of other students from our school stayed there from the 6th till the 13th of December. Our journey started from our school and from there we went to the airport in Tallinn. We started driving at 1 AM and there was a strong snowstorm in Estonia so the roads were really slippery and some cars had even crashed into the trenches next to the roads. Luckily nothing happened to our bus and we safely arrived at the airport and got on our plane. The plane landed in Frankfurt and there we got on another plane that took us to Paderborn and from there we continued to Werther by bus.
We arrived in Werther at 1 PM and there we got to greet our exchange students, after that some of us went home and some of us had to stay in the school for some lessons. Unfortunately I was the latter but after the lessons I finally got to go home and I immediately went to bed and slept until 12 AM. Then I couldn’t go back to sleep and stayed awake until the morning. In the morning we went back to the school and were in some of the lessons. At noon we had a little tour in Werther and afterwards we went back to our homes.
On Friday we went to Münster and had a guided tour. We visited a lot of old churches and got some information about the history of Münster. Then we had some free time and visited the shops and Christmas markets. We were also very hungry so we went to a café.
On Saturday our families had to organize some activities for us so me and my friend Carlos and his exchange student went to Laser Tech in Bielefield. It was a laser battle game and it was quite fun. After that we went and had dinner with the family who Tarmo stayed with. The dinner was hosted by them and it was at their home. We got to see a really awesome fire version of the „Glühwein“.
On Sunday I first stayed with Carlos and then we went to bowling in Bielefield.
On Monday we went to the Volkswagen car factory in Wolfsburg. It was quite the sight to see, I had never seen anything like it and it was really amazing. I think from all the places we visited this was my favourite one. There was also a big outlet of different brands right next to the car factory.
Tuesday was the last full day in Germany and we went to a zoo next to Bielefield. The zoo is opened 24/7 and it isn’t a zoo where you can see elephants and lions. There you can see lynxes and other animals that you can also find in the wild. From there we went to Bielefield on foot and had some free time in the city. In the afternoon we went to a concert in Werther and there the students from their school performed for a whole church full of people.

Then Thursday arrived and we had to say goodbye to our families and came back to Estonia. It was a really good trip and this time I liked the stay more than I liked it last time. I think every student who can speak English should use this opportunity that we have in our school and take part in this student exchange program.
